No Longer Alone is a series of Graphic Novels about empowerment and finding meaning through personal change, growth and self-esteem.
A collection of stories written for adults to teach important developmental lessons to younger readers about taking risks, realizing strength and gaining courage.
Sid is lonely, forces himself to meet some new friends on the beach, teaches them basic rockcraft and takes them to climb his trad project KING LINE.
Sid, Marco and Sheli start up The Retaining Wall, have an accident, and get spooked. They take a boat trip instead and climb THE TROLL.
The trio returns to THE RETAINING WALL and Sid gets them up the towering and scary route in a multi-day epic. The prolonged exposure freaks out his friends and they bail.
Sid is alone again and finds out it’s OK, describing the difference between being alone and being lonely; deep analysis of the Soloist Psyche. He does a lot of bouldering, gets bold, and solos POTTER’S COVE.
Sid gives both physical and mental climbing instruction on a big ascent of San Carlos Pillar, all the while building on the soloing headspace of the previous book with endless psychobabble about fear and pain .
Sid muses on the changing dynamic of balancing Social Responsibility and Self-Sufficiency amidst Global Hysteria and Social Distancing; he lived his role as “Storyteller” soloing BENIHANA, and then, told a story.
Sid relates stamina and focus to living properly with honesty and courage to face grim consequences. Getting to the top of ENDURANCE took more than strength; it required humility.
Feeling cocky from hundreds of solos, Sid returns to the Retaining Wall for an Solo over-confident in his skill. A careless moment provides a moment of eternity.
